Shipping Rates & Return Policy
Steelwater Gun Safes ships all safe purchases weighing more than 150 lbs via a LTL freight carrier. We currently utilize the services of R&L Carriers and UPS Freight for all safe shipments but reserve the right to change carriers at any time without notice. Please note that all safe deliveries will be made by a (48 - 53) ft tractor trailer. All tractor trailers will be equipped with a liftgate which allows the driver the ability to unload safe from the back of the truck so he is therefore able to deliver the safe either into your garage or to the curb. (Please refer to FREE SHIPPING TERMS)** If you are unable to accommodate a delivery via a 48-53 ft tractor trailer please contact a Steelwater Gun Safes spokesperson at (866) 278-8022 for other available options. Steelwater Gun Safes ships all orders for pistol safes, dehumidifiers, and gun rack via UPS Ground but reserves the right to change carriers at any time without notice. Express shipping options are available; please contact a Steelwater Gun Safes association for additional fees. Please note that if a pistol safe, dehumidifier, and/or gun rack is purchased along with a gun safe then these items may be packaged inside the gun safe and shipped via a LTL freight carrier.
Safe orders are processed Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm EST and all in stock orders will ship from one of our warehouses within 24 - 48 business hours but may be delayed if special options or specifications are needed. Each customer will receive an email when their order ships, this email will contain the name of the freight carrier and a tracking number for their order. The freight carrier will be instructed to contact you and schedule a delivery appointment when your order arrives at the delivering terminal. All customers must be available to take immediate delivery of their order when contacted by the carrier. Any customer whom is unable to take immediate delivery of their order due to out of town business trip, vacation, or any other reason must contact a Steelwater Gun Safe sales associate prior to shipment of their order. Failure to take immediate delivery or notify a Steelwater Gun Safes sales associate of your unavailability to accept delivery may result in additional freight charges and /or storage fees. Steelwater Gun Safes reserves the right to authorize the return of any freight found undeliverable where the customer, after repeated attempts, is found to be unavailable for contact. Customer will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the attempted delivery address as well as a 15% restocking fee. Customers whom cancel their orders after it has been processed and shipped will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the delivery address. Hours of operation for the carrier are 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Delivery appointments are not guaranteed and Steelwater Gun Safes cannot be held responsible if the freight carrier is late or misses a scheduled delivery appointment due to unforeseen circumstances. We at Steelwater Gun Safes know your time is valuable; therefore to help better insure the prompt delivery of your gun safe purchases we offer (3) guaranteed service upgrades for those individuals with limited availability. See Guaranteed Services below.
Freight Acceptance Policy and Procedures
All safes must be inspected at time of delivery. When the safe arrives, the driver will promptly hand you a delivery receipt and request a signature for acceptance of the delivery. Please note that when signing this delivery receipt you will be agreeing to the terms and condition set forth by the carrier which clearly states you "received in good condition, except as noted" the safe that is being delivered. Prior to signing the delivery receipt, in a timely manner, please inspect the packaging of the safe for any noticeable signs of damage such as tears in the box(s), heavy friction marks to the box(s), indentions, etc… If there are any signs of visible damage to the packaging please show the driver and further inspect the safe to determine if there are any damages to the safe. Any damages, large or small, must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. At the time of delivery, it is every customer's right to refuse a safe that has been damage during shipping. Customer's that notice any damages after signing the delivery receipt should contact the carrier immediately, a contact phone number is provided on the delivery receipt, to notify them of the damages. All customers that accept delivery of a safe that has been damaged during shipping and fail to note the damages on the delivery receipt will be responsible for filing their own claim against the carrier. Steelwater Gun Safes ships all safes in the upright position only. Under no circumstances do we wrap our safes in plastic. Any safe that is not delivered in the upright position or wrapped in plastic should be subject to further inspection before signing the delivery receipt. No customer shall discard the pallet and/or packaging material until the safe is fully opened, inspected, and found to be in good operating condition. Customers that do accept delivery of damaged safe and have noted the damages on the delivery receipt are asked to take pictures of the packaging material and safe and send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. RETURNS
Unsatisfactory returns will be accepted for a period of 14 days from the day the safe is received. All safes must be returned in the original box with all packaging material, they also must be properly secured for shipping to help prevent any damages while being returned to the warehouse. Customers will be responsible for all shipping fees to the address of delivery and shipping fees back to the warehouse. Please note that all fees paid for the installation of a dehumidifier are non refundable. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. Additional fees may be assessed if a safe is not returned in the original packaging and/or has been damaged during the return shipment back to the warehouse. All charges will be determined by Steelwater Gun Safes but will be fair and considerate to the buyer.
*High gloss models are subject to rubs or imperfections during shipping. In most cases they can be removed with minor waxing or polishing.
Free Shipping Terms
All safes order shipments will be marked for "Garage Delivery" but unfortunately some shipments will only be eligible for the "Curb Side Delivery with Liftgate" due to the inaccessibility of the garage and/ or cover ground floor area by the delivery agent also better termed "the driver". All drivers come equipped with only a pallet jack to assist him in moving the safe. If a customer's driveway is found to be unpaved, excessively long, too steep, or just inaccessible these are valid reasons that can prevent the delivery of a safe into a garage and/or covered ground floor area. If a driver for any of the above mention reasons is unable to provide the "Garage Delivery" he will at his own discretion either attempt to move the safe as far as he may go or deliver the safe to the curb. Steelwater Gun Safes cannot be held responsible if the freight carrier is unable to provide the "Free Garage Delivery" as advertised. Customers whom refuse to take delivery of their order because the freight carrier is unable to provide "Garage Delivery" will be accessed all shipping charges to and from the address of delivery plus a 15% restocking fee. These fees will be deducted from the original purchase price of the safe prior to refund being issued. Please read additional description of services and exclusions below.
"Free Garage Delivery" includes the driver (1 person) unloading the freight from the truck and placing it into a customer's garage and/or first available covered ground floor area. This free garage delivery service is available in most locations inside the Contiguous US except certain areas within New York with zip codes beginning in (100-104) & (110-119). Additional restrictions may apply*. Please note that this is a delivery service only and does not include the de-palletization, unpackaging, debris removal, or placement of safe once the safe is unloaded into the garage. It will be the responsibility of the customer to either move or make arrangements for moving the safe inside the house.
"Free Curb Side Delivery with Liftgate" includes the driver (1 person) unloading the safe from the truck as close to the curb of the destination address as possible. Please not that once the safe is unloaded off the truck the customer will be responsible for moving or making arrangements to have the safe moved inside the delivery address.
Free Shipping including both "Garage/Threshold Delivery" and "Curbside Delivery with Liftgate" is offered to most areas in the contiguous U.S. Some remote areas such as islands, areas accessible only by toll bridge or ferry service, union states, etc. may be subjected to additional fees. If any additional freight charges are applicable, customers will be notified prior to shipping and will be given the option to cancel their order to avoid any additional freight charges.

Steelwater Gun Safes is proud to offer these complete and comprehensive guaranteed delivery options. These options will provide customers with an opportunity to guarantee the delivery on any safe purchase weighing over 150 lbs. This is not an expedited delivery service and therefore all services are based upon availability to the address of delivery.
Basic Guaranteed Service
With the Basic Guaranteed Service upgrade it promises your shipment will arrive by 5PM on the service date you specify, based upon availability of standard services to the zip code of destination. All deliveries must be made during regular business hours 9AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday.

This service is based upon availability of standard service to the zip code of destination and all deliveries must be made during regular business hours 9AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.

White Glove Delivery
Steelwater Gun Safes is proud to offer these complete and comprehensive white glove delivery options. These options will provide customers with the availability of having their safe purchase delivered inside their residence/business to the room of choice, the un-packaging and the unbolting of the safe from the pallet, and removal of all debris
White Glove Delivery Options:
- Option 1: Includes delivery to any point inside the contiguous United States, 2 men and a dolly, de-palletization, un-packaging, inside delivery, with up to 20 steps to room of choice, and debris removal including unbolting of the safe from the pallet. Please note this option is a first floor delivery and does not include stairs.
- Option 2: Includes delivery to any point inside the contiguous United States, 4 men, de-palletization, un-packaging, inside delivery, with up to 20 steps to room of choice, and debris removal including unbolting of the safe from the pallet. Please note this option is a first floor delivery and does not include stairs.
- Option 3: Includes delivery to any point inside the contiguous United States, 2 or more men as required, de-palletization, un-packaging, inside delivery, with distances greater than 20 steps to room of choice and/or has stairs to include basement and 2nd floor deliveries, and debris removal including unbolting of the safe from the pallet.
White Glove Delivery Inclusions:
Delivery team will determine the feasibility based upon the safety of the property, product and crew. The shipping company and its agents will make all reasonable efforts not to damage a home; however, due to the weight and difficulty of the safe deliveries, the agent will require a waiver of damages signed by the customer prior to entering the building for all safe deliveries which requires a stair carry. All safes delivered via white glove delivery should be inspected by the customer prior to signing of the delivery receipt. If a customer receives a damaged safe it is their choice to either refused delivery of the safe or accept delivery of the damaged safe. If a customer does accept delivery of a damaged safe they will be required to have all damages noted on the delivery receipt by the agent prior to signing the delivery receipt. A customer’s that fails to note any damages to the safe on the delivery receipt will be required to immediately contact the agent so that the customer he/she can file a claim with the agent/carrier.
All white glove delivery quotes are based upon information provided by the customer. Steelwater Gun Safes cannot be held responsible if the shipping company or its agent is unable to provide the requested white glove delivery service due to incorrect information provided by the customer. In cases where additional charges become applicable due to incorrect information provided by the customer, the customer will be given the option to approve all additional fees prior to completion of the White Glove Delivery Service. If a customer refuses to approve payment of all additional fees, Steelwater Gun Safes will approve the return of the safe to the warehouse and will access the customer for all applicable freight charges involved in shipping the safe to and from the address of delivery. All accessed freight charges will be deducted from the original purchase price of the safe and the remaining balance will be refunded as applicable.
