Digital Locks VS. Combination Dials

DIGITAL LOCKS VS. COMBINATION DIAL

  1. The digital lock is much quicker and easier to access the safe and you have the ability to set and change your own codes which you cannot do with the combination dial lock.  Simply press your code in and turn the handle to open the safe.  No need to turn the dial left 4 times to the first number, 3 times to the right to the second number, 2 times to the left to the third number, and then turn the dial right until it stops.
  2. Per our warranty issues, both locks have a 1% or less failure rate.  This is proof that you will not lose reliability with our digital lock.
  3. The digital lock is more secure than the combination lock.  The security is the same when it comes down to a residential burglary attack, but the digital lock it is harder to defeat for a professional.
  4. The digital lock is back lit, so it is easy to see the numbers in a dark location as where the combination lock has small lines and numbers that are hard to see and there is not light to help see in dim areas.
  5. The digital lock has a non-volatile memory so it will not lose your code if the battery fails or even if the battery is removed for years.  The battery is located on the outside in the keypad and will usually last 2-5 years.  The battery can easily be replaced without opening the door.
  6. MOST IMPORTANT:  Although we only have a 1% or less failure rate, someone will get a defective lock.  If you had the combination lock and it fails (out of warranty period), you could be locked out for 3-5 days or maybe 1-2 weeks before a locksmith can come out and drill the safe open and repair it.  Then you will have to pay $400-$700 in repairs and labor.  If our new digital lock with high security bypass key ever fails, simply insert the key and open the safe, get what you need out of the safe and lock it back.  Call us the next business day for a new keypad and simply unplug the defective keypad, plug in the new keypad, and you are back to normal for around $50.00.  This practically eliminates the possibility of being locked out and/or the need for a locksmith.
  7. The double sided, double bitted, high security key lock is protected with drill resistant hard plate and an internal relocking device to prevent drill attacks and punch attacks so that it does not lessen the security of the safe.
